I am an architect, urban scholar and PhD student in sociology and criminology. I used to be a project manager in urban development and a gender equality consultant. My research interests are therefore cross-interdisciplinary and span from my background in architecture, feminist and race theory, surveillance, migration and urban politics. I come from Morocco and have spent the last few years between Brussels, Madrid, Copenhagen and Vienna. Now based in Gent, BE and Toronto, CA, I work as a PhD on the topic of ethnic profiling and securitization of migration from a gendered perspective.
