Yesterday it was the 5th anniversary of the EDGE of Existence programme. EDGE goes for “Evolutionarily Distinct and Globally Endangered” species. It is an initiative to draw attention on these species and to launch conservation programs. Next expedition, according to their website, will be to Panama, “to assess the status of the pygmy three-toed sloth, the world’s smallest and most threatened sloth species.” Check out their website to discover some amazingly rare, endangered species, and learn a bit more about their activity.
